With the goal of training students for the workforce and providing them with expertise in the industry, the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology programme was launched in 2001. The emphasis is on fundamental IT topics, domains, disciplines, and management. The major goals of the course are-
- To be able to manage complicated IT projects while taking into account environmental, financial, and human factors.
- To effectively collaborate with others in order to accomplish a shared objective.
A graduate with a B.Sc. in Information Technology degree qualifies for good chances in a range of jobs in many different industries, including the public, commercial, and non-profit ones. You can enroll in Master’s degree programmes and pursue higher education as well. Those who want to begin their professional careers right away after finishing the B.Sc. programme will have no trouble finding employment, especially in the technical field. IT consultants, IT support analysts, network engineers, web designers, software developers, and other positions may be available to IT professionals with the necessary skills and understanding of the field.

Course Duration: B.Sc. IT 3-year (6 semesters).
Admission Eligibility :
- To apply for admission, candidates must have completed the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or a Diploma course in any Engineering Branches.
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category candidates)

(I.T.) | O.5051 | (a) A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course of Bachelor of Science-Information Technology, shall have passed XII standard examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or it’s equivalent with Mathematic and Statistics as one of the subject and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate for open category and 40% marks in aggregate in case of Reserved category candidates. (b) Candidate who have passed Diploma (Three years after S.S.C.– Xth Std.) in Information Technology/ Computer Technology/ Computer Engineering/Computer Science/ Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering and Allied Branches/Mechanical and Allied Branches/ Civil and Allied branches are eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of the B.Sc. (I.T.) degree course. However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates. OR Candidates with post HSC-Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Technology/ Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/ and Allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of B.Sc. (I.T.). However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body Minimum Marks required 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates. |
